After I have thought of resigning in Merck until my melodramatic last day, my quest to look for a job in other organizations has then started. I have almost submitted my resume everywhere. But I was very lucky that being part of the unemployment line was never really a fortune to me, well at least for two and a half weeks. :)
I got a job in Johnson and Johnson Philippines as a Territory Representative of the Neuroscience Department. My very function is to deliver the very message of the medicines to the medical doctors to bring hope to the people who suffer from some of the world’s unmet medical needs. I am feeling excited because aside from the fact that I get a living with competitive benefits, my job answers my prayers of having a responsibility and endeavors that puts more value to my life as a person; a job that for in everyday I have to live, I know that I am living to fulfill a mission and purpose, and that at the end of each day, I always have a reason to rest well and face dawning of a new day with compassion and commitment. Through this, I am confident that life will really be more exciting yet meaningful.
On the other hand, it’s the type of job I believe I will enjoy where some of the principal responsibilities involves key accounts management, territory development and implementation of business plans. I understand that it might be too early to conclude but I’m looking forward that my fate is this, more than anything I have planned for myself. I will always do my best to improve, contribute and help.
I consider this job a big opportunity for me because of the reasons I mentioned above. so for whatever reasonable conditions, I’ll grab it even being assigned anywhere in the Philippines. I will be assigned in Davao which is just fine with me. I do not know what might happen on my remaining days in Manila before my deployment (probably end of the month or early August), but what’s so sure is that it will open a new chapter of my life.
